CLI reference

These commands cover the core coding workflow. Run taocode --help for options available in your installed version.

Start an interactive session

taocode

Run this from the project you want to work on. An unconfigured session can open the connection flow.

Run a single task

taocode run --model tao/chutes/Qwen/Qwen3.8-27B-TEE "Add tests for utils.ts"

--model selects the full model reference. The quoted string is your task. Select an available reference with taocode models before using this example.

List models

taocode models

For TAO-only output:

# macOS / Linux
taocode models | grep 'tao/'

# Windows PowerShell
taocode models | Select-String 'tao/'

Interactive commands

Enter these inside the taoCode session, not in your operating system’s shell.
